Tom Kersting is a licensed and practicing psychotherapist, school counselor, best-selling author and nationally-recognized speaker. His first book, Disconnected: How to reconnect our digitally distracted kids, cemented him as an expert on digital dependency, and since its publication, he has become an authority on the implications of technology on developing adolescents. Tom educates parents across the country on how they can identify and prevent device dependency and reinstill strong family dynamics. Tom is a regular contributor on Tucker Carlson Tonight, Fox & Friends and The Today Show, and he has hosted programs on A&E Network, Food Network and National Geographic Channel. His second book, Disconnected: How to Protect Your Child from the Dangers of Device Dependency, is set to hit shelves in 2020. Tom holds advanced degrees including a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Thomas Aquinas College, a Master’s degree in Counseling & Human Development and a second Master’s in Administration & Supervision, both from Montclair State University. Tom also holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Hypnotherapy (alternative/non-traditional) from Kona University. Tom is an avid golfer, former college baseball player and every day gym goer. During his free time you can catch him on the links with his son or coaching his son's baseball team, playing with his wonderful daughter or out trying to find the next best restaurant with his beautiful wife.
